The Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) Outstanding Arts Award annually recognizes two seniors for their outstanding ability in the arts. East Granby High School is proud to announce that this year’s recipients are Izabella Dallesander, representing excellence in performing arts; and Cassidy Clark, representing excellence in visual arts. They will be celebrated at the 31st annual High School Arts Banquet in March with their families and EGHS staff. We appreciate all they have done to excel and lead in the visual and performing arts for EGHS!

Students visited the State Capital today to participate in the The Connecticut Association of Student Councils for the 2nd Annual Mock Legislative Session Day. They will work with legislators to debate and amend bills on the House floor while building skills in advocacy and public speaking.

EGHS is thrilled to announce that SIX of our HS Music students have been accepted to the CMEA NRHS Music Festival, which will take place at New Britain H.S. in January. This is the first time in a very long time that we've had this many students at the H.S. festival. They are:
Stephanie Clement, Gr. 11, Alto, Mixed Choir

Mckenzie Cormier, Gr. 9, Soprano, Mixed Choir

Evan Hanks, Gr. 11, Band, Timpani. This is Evan's 3rd year!

Kayla Lengyel, Gr. 9, Soprano, Treble Choir

Logan Nicolle, Gr. 10, Soprano, Mixed Choir. This is Logan's 2nd year!
